How many stages are there in energy storage welding machine?

The energy storage welding machine must go through four processes for each solder joint. Each process lasts a certain amount of time, respectively, prepressure time, welding time, maintenance time, and rest time, and these four processes are indispensable to the quality of spot welding.

Preloading: The preloading time refers to the period of time between the electrode beginning to apply pressure to the workpiece and the beginning of electricity. During this time, the electrode must apply the necessary pressure to the workpiece for welding. Ensure that the welder is in close contact with the workpiece, if the preloading time is too short, and the power is started when the two workpieces are in close contact, because the contact resistance is too large, the burning phenomenon may occur when spot welding.

Welding: Welding time refers to the time that the electrode passes in the spot welding process, which is an important part of the welding process. When welding, the current flows through the electrode through the weldment, so that the welding produces strong resistance heat, the metal at the most concentrated place of heat is melted first, and the melted metal is surrounded by the metal ring that has not been melted and the plastic state around, so that the melted metal can not spill.

Maintenance: The maintenance time refers to the period from the beginning of the power failure to the lifting of the electrode, that is, under the action of pressure, the liquid metal in the plastic ring crystallizes to form the welding core. If the welding current is broken, the liquid metal in the welding core does not crystallize, and the electrode is lifted, then the welding core metal can not be supplemented by the volume shrinkage due to crystallization and solidification in the closed plastic ring, and it will form a shrinkage hole or loose organization. Obviously, the strength of the weld core with shrinkage or loose tissue is very low, so maintaining this period of time is essential.

Rest: The rest time refers to the time when the electrode is lifted from the workpiece to the start of the next cycle pressure. As long as the workpiece can be moved. Position and meet the mechanical action time of the welding machine. On the premise that these conditions are met, the shorter this time, the better, because it will be more productive.

The spot welding cycle described above is the most basic, for any metal and alloy spot welding, which process is indispensable.
